The Rest Of The Alphabet - Call For Submissions
This is something I’ve mentioned a few times here, but never got around to doing.
The queer community is, as a whole, focused on lesbian, gay, bisexual and to a lesser extent binary trans experiences. They dominate the majority of the discussion, both online and in the media (see: focus on “gay marriage” as opposed to “marriage equality”). A lot of people don’t know that non-heterosexual/cisgender experiences outside of these exist.
For people who are not straight or cis but are also not lesbian, gay, bi or binary trans, finding a sense of community identity can be tough or impossible. There are sometimes spaces that advertise themselves as safe for ALL identities, but later on you discover they want you to pick between male or female, or gay/bi/straight/unsure. While the number of people who identify as non-het but also not L, G, B or binary T is large, the community is often overlooked.
This is a way for us to get to know each other, a way to meet people, make friends and show yourself to the world.
This project is open to…

People who are non-binary trans*: genderqueer, genderfluid, androgynous, two-spirit, and so on - whether straight or not

People who are pansexual, polysexual, demisexual, asexual, omnisexual, anyone who is not straight but is also not LGB
So to be clear: if you are not trans, you CAN participate, but only if you are also not straight, lesbian, gay or bi. If you are straight, lesbian, gay or bi, you CAN participate, as long as you are not also cis.
What is it?
A video project. It is loosely based on the following prompts.
What do I need to do?
Send me a clip of yourself responding to the prompts. Try to make the sound and video as clear as possible but don’t fret if it’s not amazing. The clip doesn’t have to be a specific time (purely because I can’t think of how long it should be) but be aware that pauses and ummmms may be removed. Also, if this thing ends up looking really long, I might have to keep only the best bits, though if this happens I will try and include a bit of everyone’s submissions.

You don’t have to do all of these, just the ones you are comfortable with.
What now?
Email your finished video to TROTAproject@outlook.com with the subject “Submission”. Please also include your preferred name/nickname and ways people could contact you if they wanna be friends once the project is done and they notice you are awesome (like twitter or tumblr usernames and so on).
