Sign the petition calling for a second hearing on birth control coverage
Connecticut congressman Chris Murphy is challenging the GOP Oversight Committee to hold a hearing on the birth control coverage mandate that includes women’s voices—you know, the people who it will actually affect. I don’t know where the petition signatures actually go, but it takes literally two seconds; all you have to give is your email address and first name.
I love this guy. He spoke up about the appalling lack of representation during the sham hearing (video right here!) and he is committed to protecting abortion rights as well as access to contraception. I also, um, may or may not have a bit of a crush on him. He’s running for senate, so if you’re in CT, consider contributing to his campaign! His record on women’s health is stellar and he just seems like such a class act!
